Make sure your cursor is at the far left of the box when you start to enter the number.
Your bank account number is not your 16 digit EFTPOS/Debit/Credit Card number.
If you receive an error stating that your bank account is already in use, this could be due to one of two reasons.
It is associated with an older abandoned or forgotten MyLotto account, or
It is currently in use, for example, in your partner’s MyLotto account.
If you have an abandoned or forgotten MyLotto account, call our Customer Support team on 0800 695 6886, who will be able to help get this issue sorted for you.
If the bank account is currently in use by your partner, you will need to use a separate bank account in your MyLotto account. Different bank account suffixes are deemed to be the same bank account.
Most banks will already have “MyLotto (Online Top-Up)” loaded as a registered payee in their Bill Payment setup sections. Be careful not to select “Lotto (Retailer payments only)” if it comes up in your search – this could delay the funds showing in your MyLotto account.
If you can’t find the existing “MyLotto (Online Top-Up)” registered payee on your internet banking website or app, you will need to set up a bill payment yourself using MyLotto’s bank account number, which is: 03 0502 0854794 04

The total MyLotto weekly and monthly spending limits are $150 and $500 respectively. Within this allowance, the spending limit for Instant Kiwi Online is $50 per week. You can also set your own personal spending limits lower than Lotto NZ’s rules.

Q3. Can lotto tickets once purchased be cancelled?
Tickets bought in the app or online cannot be cancelled once the purchase has been confirmed. However, we make sure that you get the chance to check you’re happy with your purchase before you click ‘Buy Now’.
You are able to cancel tickets purchased in-store as long as it is on the same day, at the same store and before the draw.
Q4. Can my lotto NZ ticket be checked for prize at lottery store?
No you cannot. While you are able to print your MyLotto tickets for your own records, these cannot be checked at a retail Lotto store.
Of course, it’s really easy to check your ticket online after the draw has taken place – you can even watch an animated draw which checks the numbers on your ticket as the balls are drawn. MyLotto will automatically check all tickets overnight following the draw and let you know via your account if you have won any prizes.
Q5. Can I Play Combo Tickets online?
Combo tickets in their usual form aren’t available to purchase on MyLotto – this is due to the potential cost of Combo tickets being outside MyLotto’s spending limits of $150/week and $500/month. It’s not possible to play Combo 9 or 10 on MyLotto for this reason. Combo 8 does fall within MyLotto’s spending limits, so you can create a Combo 8 ticket on MyLotto.
