A second chance draw in Instant Scratch-Its Australia is offered by the Lott that gives you another chance to win the scratchie. This second chance draw takes place every month and to take part in this draw you have to join Instant Scratch-Its eClub all free. When you register for eClub you instantly become a member. Then every month Scratch eClub members are given the chance to turn their eligible non-winning Instant Scratch-Its tickets into a winner. As a member your eligible non-winning tickets can enter Scratch eClub’s Second Chance Draw for a chance to win $1000.

How to join eClub to be a member for a second chance draw?

As mentioned above you can only enter the second chance draw if you become a member of the eClub at the Lott.

First step is to register yourself at the Lott website.

Fill the short form with your few personal details like name, email, date of birth and address with phone number. You might need to verify your identity if required.

There are two ways that you can verify your identity:

• Online verification
• Manual verification

Note that online verification is only available to Australian citizens and residents.

Online verification is done at the Lott website using VIX Verify’s GreenID service. GreenID is a leading identity verification service within Australia and abroad and ensures privacy and protection of your personal information.

When creating an online account either through website or mobile apps, the Lott will attempt to automatically verify your first name, surname, date of birth and residential address against a number of background sources. If the details you signed up with match the background sources, your identity will be automatically verified and no further action will be required by you. 

If your details didn’t match during registration, you can still complete verification of your identity online from within your account. 

If for any reason you would like to pause the verification process you can select ‘Save & Complete Later’ from the ID option drop down menu.

You can resume at any time by clicking the Resume button.

If you were unable to verify yourself online, you will need to verify your identity by providing additional documents. International customers will need to supply certified documents to verify their identity. 

To complete manual identity verification, you need to send Photocopy the required documentation like Passport, Driver’s License, National Identity Card, Proof of Age Card, Birth Certificate and Citizenship Certificate and send the documents to the Lott, either by:

Once received, the lott will process your documents. The Lott will send you confirmation by email once verification of your identity is complete.

Also, you may need some secondary documents for verification like name and address on a government-issued pension card, name and address on a utility notice.name and address on a council rate notice, a security document, mortgage, land title records, name and address on a Taxation Office notice, name and address on the electoral roll, name and address from educational records, trade professional membership or employment records and Medicare Card.

For international players, you will need to verify your identity by providing certified identification documents.

• To verify your identity, you will need to provide:
• 1 x Primary photographic identification document AND 1 x secondary identification document;

OR

• 1 x Primary non-photographic identification document AND 2 x secondary identification documents.
• In either case at least one of the documents provided must contain your current residential address.
• To complete this process, follow the steps below:
• Photocopy the required documentation
• Take your original ID and photocopies of your ID documents to an authorised person capable of certifying documents (known as an Acceptable Referee).

As per Statutory Declarations Regulations 1993 the following persons can certify the documents for the Lott identity verification purposes: Justice of the Peace, Notary Public,  Judge, Police Officer, Legal Practitioner, Manager of a Post Office. an employee of a financial institution with 5 or more years of continuous service, Medical Doctor, Dentist, Pharmacist, Veterinary Surgeon, Registered Nurse, Minister of Religion, Member of Parliament, Full-time teacher or school principal and a member of the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

The Acceptable Referee will need to certify the copies of your documents

Once received, the lott will process your documents. The Lott will send you confirmation by email once verification of your identity is complete.

Once verification is done you become a registered member and gain access to Scratch eClub membership to enjoy the benefits of an online account including being able to play Australia’s favourite lottery games anytime, anywhere.
